1 Corinthians 3:1-4

  1. ITS ORIGIN: ORIGINAL SIN (Romans 5:12)
    • The inheritance from Adam
    • One part of a bigger whole
    • The Inspiration of Sins
  2. ITS ORIENTATION: SELF-GOVERNMENT (Romans 8:1-9)
    • In opposition to God's Law which reveals sin
    • In opposition to God's Spirit which remakes saint
  3. ITS ORNAMENTATION: WORKS OF THE FLESH (1 Cor 3:1-4)
    • Causing wickedness of the spirit
    • Causing weakness of the spirit
  4. ITS ORDER: CLEANSING (2 Cor 7:1, 1 John 1:7)
    • It's Unnatural
    • It's Unchristian
    • It's UnChristlike
    • It's Unholy
    • It's Unacceptable

Carnality is:

  2. inherited from Adam with Original Sin
  3. demanding self-government
  4. producing both wickedness and weakness
  5. solved only by the cleansing of Christ's blood
  6. exiled only by walking after the spirit in daily consecration
