Choosing the Right Way - Matthew 7:13-29

Discussion: Why is the road that leads to destruction broad?  Why, on the other hand, is the road that leads to life narrow?

Discussion: What does it mean for false prophets to wear sheep’s clothing?  Can you tell from mere appearance whether one is a false or true prophet?

Discussion: What are the fruits that distinguish true and false prophets?  (Develop a list.)

Discussion: If only good trees bear good fruit and corrupt trees evil fruit, what about sinful people, and especially very wicked people, who do good deeds (giving money to the poor, etc.)?  Are these “good deeds” actually evil?  If so, how?

Discussion: How can people cast out devils and work other miracles in Jesus’ name without ever truly knowing Him as Lord and Saviour?

Discussion: How is building one’s life according to the truth of God’s Word like building a house upon a solid foundation?

Discussion: Why would anyone build a house upon the sand?  How does this correlate to spiritual reality?
